What sold this spec home for the
builder? He had the foresight to
consult with Fusion A/V. Fusion
A/V pre-wired this home for this
beautiful family room home
theater as well as structured
cabling including high speed
internet, distributed audio and
video, security, video sur-
veillance, and central vac. We
provided the builder with a
detailed brochure explaining the
homes electronics capabilities,
which was instrumental in the
sale of the home. Once the
home sold Fusion A/V met with
the new owners and designed
the media cabinet. We then
proceeded to finish the systems
throughout the home to the
owner's specification.

The problem: fitting a home
theater system complete with 50"
HDTV into the corner of an
existing family room. The
solution; Plasma TV and an
innovative cabinet designed by
Fusion A/V. Left center and right
speakers are all hidden within
the cabinet behind acoustically
transparent cloth. The rear
speakers in the room posed an
additional problem. Getting wires
to the rear with no crawl space to
work with. The task was
accomplished using a
beautiful crown molding. Rear
speaker wires were hidden
behind the crown resulting in an
install that looked like it had been
done when the home was
built.

Fusion was asked to turn the old
family room to the left into a state
of the art home theater. Originally
the client consulted with an
interior designer who suggested
using the wall to the left or the
right of the fireplace. However
after our initial inspection it was
obvious the best place for the
screen was on the fireplace wall.
Fusion A/V drew up plans for an
acoustically correct room. We
then installed tuned panels
behind finish fabric on all the
walls. The result was a gorgeous
room complete with cherry
wood sconces, inlaid acoustic
panels, HDTV projector, 7.1
surround sound and touch
screen control. To finish off the
project in style Fusion also
designed and installed a lighting
system that is controlled from the
touch screen. All done within
budget and in time for the
holidays!

Today's larger homes have many
beautiful amenities. Grand entry-
ways, spiral staircases and
expansive landscaped envi-
ronments. All of these areas
have one thing in common, light.
It is amazing to me how many
very expensive homes have
masking tape on the wall to
inform the new resident which
switch to use when a desired
light is needed. I have seen up to
eight switches lined up on one
entry wall. We call this wall acme.
Fusion A/V offers low voltage
lighting systems to solve this
annoying problem. At the same
time those ugly multiple switches
become one elegant engraved
control station. Best of all any
light in the home can be
controlled by any station.
Imagine the security and beauty
available at the touch of a button.
How important is it to consult
with Fusion Audio / Video early in
the building process? Consider
this home theater. This home's
original plan called for a fireplace
in the middle of the family room.
Fusion A/V staff met with the
architect and homeowner and
suggested moving the fireplace
to the corner opening up the
room for this home theater. We
also designed a built in audio
cabinet on a piano hinge for easy
access. This installed
was honored with the cover of
Pulse Magazines home theater
issue.
